Update I

Update III (Wavelet) has been moved to this update, merging with the existing 41 In-Ear Fidelity's sound signature simulations to replace Wavelet EQ presets and replacing 10+ with them, due to better and more detailed measuring, therefore better accuracy. It also adds another 43 headphones/earphones, some of which are among the best-selling headphones on the market,

and brings brands such as LG and TREBLAB.

 

It is the first update that does not bring factors that alter the sound signature, such as ANC or earpad replacements. 14 existing presets have received changes, which are listed down below.

Update II

Update II brings 18 models to the catalog, the choice was based from In-Ear Fidelity's ranking list, bringing some of the best sounding headphones and IEM's for their respective price points, few of them including new brands for the list such as CCA and ThieAudio. 

 

Since all headphones and earphones have been replicated with smooth set to 50 with the In-Ear Fidelity graph tool, this update will be the stepping stone for unsmoothed (or default smooth "5") graph replication (ThieAudio Clairvoyance and the one with 100Ω resistor, and all open-backs minus Moondrop Void) which allows for a more detailed simulation with less artifacts, even if the differences are almost inaudible (I tested and it's more noticeable with pink/any noise).

update ii

Update III

Update III brings 19 models to the catalog. Some are from already existing brands such as Sennheiser, some Beyerdynamic models, a gaming headphone, and ZMF enters the list with three models. It also corrects the headphone type (was initially going to happen for the previous update, but I forgot, I'm human) for Samsung Galaxy Buds Live (from I to E) since they're earbuds.

 

Update III will also replace Focal Clear and w/Clear Mg pads, both Wavelet EQ presets, and will update Meze Elite (Alcantara pads), including few minor tweaks. After this update, most presets will use preamp to reduce the inconsistency of volume levels between them.

Referencing the previous update note, all new presets from now on will be replicating unsmoothed graphs. Seven existing presets will be unsmoothed (AKG K92, AKG K712 Pro, Sennheiser HD 800 S, Sennheiser HE 1, KZ ZSX, Meze Elite (Hybrid pads) and 1MORE Triple Driver).

Update IV

Update IV will add 13 new headphones in total in order to hit 300 presets. Due to this, it's the smallest update so far, but to make it worthwhile I decided to try to add different headphones, including requested models. This update also brings back a deleted preset (Beyerdynamic T1 2nd Gen), and FR simulations from RTINGS.com which will replace Anker Soundcore Life Q30 (sacrificing the ANC off preset), and Life Q35.

 

And lastly, it will add the Soundcore Space Q45 and Focal Bathys (the transparent filters in the icon when selecting presets is a compensation of RTINGS.com target to Harman).

Update V

Update V will be focused on replacing existing Wavelet presets with RTINGS.com and In-Ear Fidelity frequency responses (15 in total), due to more accurate and detailed measurements. The presets will be as follows: Anker Soundcore Life Q20, Beats Studio³ Wireless, Bose QuietComfort 45, HyperX Cloud II, JBL CLUB ONE, JBL E55BT, Razer Kraken X, Sony WH-1000XM5, TaoTronics SoundLiberty 79, Beyerdynamic T1 2nd Gen, Samson SR850, Superlux HD 681 (sacrificing velour earpads).

In-Ear Fidelity is going to replace Audeze LCD-1, LCD-3, and ATH-R70x.

This update will also add the presets that were originally meant for the previous update (Audio Lokahi, W+G T2 and RAAL-requisite SR1a), and new ones, the Anker Soundcore Liberty 4, Space A40, OnePlus Buds Pro 2, Tripowin x HBB Olina SE, QKZ x HBB Khan, Tangzu Wan'er and the long-awaited CCZ Coffee Bean. Also, there will be two new presets (Anker Soundcore Space Q55 Concept and Apple AirPods Max 2 Concept), both which are unofficially conceptual models that show how I personally think how they will sound. This is solely done for fun purposes, and are in no way representative of the future products.

In addition, the reverberation effect is making a comeback, with four different presets (Soundproofed Room, Room, Moderately Reflective Room and Reflective Room).

Keep in mind that these effects will simulate the open-back design of headphones in a subtle manner (because open-back noise leakage is not as loud as an externalized speaker), since the design allows sound to leak through the enclosure which will then bounce on the room surfaces back to the ears (this also means that actual open-backs let outside noise in), creating an immersive and open soundstage. Also, the reverb effect is mainly provided for closed-back headphone users.

 

This update note is seeming like a laundry list, but it deletes the "transparent filters" mentioned in the previous update, which at the end wasn't a good addition as it somehow decreased the accuracy, and a few presets have been tweaked to better reflect their real sounds (keep the disclaimers in mind). Lastly, the Soundcore Life Q30, the Space Q45 (also including ANC off preset) and Focal Bathys will be replaced by FR graph replications from a Finnish website (props to Kuulokenurkka).

Update VI

Update VI will replace 3 Wavelet presets (1MORE Triple Driver Over-Ear, Austrian Audio Hi-X55 and Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95) with Squiglinks, 7 of them (Apple AirPods 1st Gen, Apple EarPods, JBL Tune 510BT, JBL T450BT, Jabra Elite 85h, Sennheiser HD 201 and Wyze Noise-Cancelling Headphones) with RTINGS.com and 2 of them (Shure SRH840 and Audeze LCD-4) with In-Ear Fidelity.

This update will also include 19 new presets (Audeze Mobius, Beyerdynamic Amiron Home, Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro, Beyerdynamic T5 3rd Gen, Beyerdynamic TYGR 300 R, Denon AH-GC20 Globe Cruiser, Drop + Sennheiser PC38X, Edifier WH950NB, Etymotic ER4XR, JBL Tune 760NC, KBEar F1, KBEar Neon, Meze 109 PRO, Moondrop Jiu, QoA Adonis, Truthear Hola, Sennheiser Amperior, Shure AONIC 50, THIEAUDIO V16 Divinity), as well as a conceptual preset (Sony WH-1000XM6 Concept).

Update VI will also bring a new reverb that simulates Spatial Audio, which as the name suggests, brings an immersive audio similar to a surround sound system, which results on different sound locations that seem like they're around you. There is a caveat to this; this reverb will simulate fixed audio, meaning no head-tracking (audio changes when you turn your head, following the movement of the smartphone or tablet).

The reason I'm pointing this out is because almost all headphones that I will list here have head-tracking Spatial Audio in the real world. The ones that have this feature are Apple AirPods Max, AirPods Pro 1st and 2nd, Audeze Mobius, HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless and Cloud II, Logitech G PRO X Gaming Headset, Razer Kraken Tournament Edition and Kraken X, Sony WH/WF-1000XM3, XM4 and XM5, OnePlus Buds Pro 2, Samsung Galaxy Buds Live, Anker Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro and Liberty 4.

This update will also bring five new presets from headphones (Ankbit E600 Pro, Anker Soundcore Space One, Denon AH-GC30, Oppo Enco M31, Sennheiser HD 206) that don't have online compensated frequency response images, so they will be predictive frequency responses, meaning that they will be a personal representation on how they would look like (giving an idea on how they would sound like) if they were measured that way. Similarly to what I said about conceptual presets, it's likely that they could either be somewhat accurate or not at all; they will act as a placeholder for their future measurements (if any) which I would then replicate.

This update also brings an IEM that doesn't have any online frequency response yet (SeeAudio Hakuya), the first batch of soundcore Space One and tweaks the "Spatial Audio" reverb preset.
